Women in the ‘Remain in Mexico’ Program Must Now Be Given a True Chance To Seek Refuge
In an op-ed in Ms. magazine, Savitri Arvey, policy advisor in the Women’s Refugee Commission’s Migrant Rights and Justice Program, and Yael Schacher, deputy director for the Americas and Europe at Refugees International, respond to the US Supreme Court’s decision on the Remain in Mexico policy (aka Migrant Protection Protocols) and call on the Biden admin to take immediate action to end the program and allow asylum seekers a fair and humane chance to continue their cases in the United States.
