Reviewing the Administration’s Unaccompanied Children Program: Women’s Refugee Commission to Testify before House Appropriations Subcommittee

Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019 | 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Michelle Brané, director of WRC’s Migrant Rights & Justice Program, will testify at a hearing before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies.

The hearing will focus on the Administration’s misguided policies that have caused unnecessary harm and trauma to children who were referred to the Unaccompanied Children program over the last two years—including the Administration’s family separation policy—as well as other policies that led to children remaining in HHS custody for weeks or months longer than necessary before being placed with a sponsor.

The hearing will be at the Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2358-C.
