Priority Recommendations for the Biden Administration in its First 100 Days
Published | UpdatedBased on our work with those most at risk of violence and exploitation, we at the Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC) know that at the start of the Biden administration, it is vital for the administration to move quickly to restore global US leadership and reset US priorities globally and at home. To take forward this humanitarian and human rights agenda in the Biden administration’s first 100 days, WRC has outlined these recommendations.
With record levels of people displaced by conflict, the majority of whom are women and children, the Biden administration must restore the rights of those seeking asylum in the United States. We also urge immediate action to protect the human rights of refugees globally, expand support for gender equality in humanitarian action, and promote access to humanitarian services for all those in need, including sexual and reproductive health care.
