Women Deliver Panel Discussion

Vancouver, Ca – As part of the first-ever humanitarian focus of events at Women Deliver, the Women’s Refugee Commission and Save the Children Canada will co-host a panel discussion looking at how to prevent sexual violence in conflict settings.

WHAT: Sexual violence is used as a weapon of war worldwide, with life-long impacts on survivors and societies. This session will examine promising approaches and partnerships – from the local to global level – in preventing sexual violence in conflict, including how accountability can serve as a deterrent, how to employ a survivor-centered approach to support local learning and risk reduction, and how promising partnerships are building growing momentum to end sexual violence in conflict.

WHO: Co-hosted by the Women’s Refugee Commission and Save the Children Canada. Speakers include:
