Up to 150,000 refugees and asylum seekers reside in the urban centers of Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya. Most refugees in Kenya are from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Somalia, and South Sudan, having fled brutal armed conflict, human rights violations, and persecution.
