Women-led organizations are on the frontline of Sudan’s survival and will be the foundation upon which Sudan’s future is built. However, they continue to be targeted in violent attacks. As part of InterAction’s blog series on the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the Women’s Refugee Commission’s Sadia Kidwai co-wrote a blog with partners at the Sudan Family Planning Association and the Gender in Emergencies Group on why the international community must step up funding and protection for women and girls in Sudan.
