Senator Merkley denied access to immigration facility
Last Friday, the Texas Civil Rights Project, the Garcia & Garcia law firm, the University of Texas School of Law’s immigration clinic and the Women’s Refugee Commission filed an emergency request for precautionary measures on behalf of parents being systematically separated from their children at the U.S.-Mexico border with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, which accuses the U.S. government of violating international law.
