Rights, Reconstruction, and Enduring Peace: Afghan Women and Children after the Taliban
PublishedThe Women’s Refugee Commission has continuously monitored the situation of Afghan refugee and displaced women and children. The purpose of this paper is to identify issues of concern for Afghan women and children in the return and reconstruction phases in the early 2000s, and to make recommendations to the international community on how it can and should respond to these new challenges.
