4 shows to catch in the Washington area over the next several days

Taylor Swift made headlines last week when she unexpectedly revealed her political leanings, spurring thousands of voter registrations with a single Instagram post. But Swift is not the only Nashville star who cares about politics. Some have been outwardly woke for years, like the hall of famers who have come together on the Lantern Tour. On the tour’s stop at D.C.’s Warner Theatre, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Lila Downs, Steve Earle and others will strum and sing acoustic folk and country tunes for a cause: the Women’s Refugee Commission, which advocates for migrant and refugee families at the U.S. border. Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. at the Warner Theatre. Sold out.
