Questions Swirl Around ICE’s ‘Inhumane’ Treatment of Pregnant People
The American Immigration Council, in collaboration with the American Civil Liberties Union and the Women’s Refugee Commission, filed requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act earlier this month, seeking more details on ICE’s policies, guidelines, or procedures “regarding the treatment of pregnant individuals in custody and any system used to track and monitor pregnant detainees.”
